Juan C. Salichs Pou, President.
Mr. Salichs is a fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers (AACFL). Salichs, a highly accredited commercial finance attorney, is the only attorney from Puerto Rico having been elected to this small group of fewer than 250 select lawyers practicing in the United States, Canada and Mexico. The AACFL comprises commercial finance attorneys who have demonstrated the requisite integrity, skill and experience to qualify for fellowship. The fellows of the AACFL are commercial finance lawyers, jurists and academics who have not only achieved preeminence in commercial finance law, but who have contributed significantly to commercial finance education through teaching, lecturing and published writings.
Mr. Salichs is recognized as a leading practitioner in workouts, debt restructuring, real estate, commercial finance, and commercial litigation. He has ample experience in structuring, negotiating, and implementing financing transactions, loan restructuring and other complex financial transactions, including construction loans, revolving credit facilities, term, permanent, and mortgage loans, asset-based loans, inventory and accounts receivable financing, and lease financing. Mr. Salichs also litigates a wide range of commercial real estate matters, and in the areas of business reorganization, workouts and debt restructuring, creditors’ rights and secured lending. Mr. Salichs frequently represents secured lenders, including major financial institutions, in connection with restructuring complex credit facilities. His experience also extends to enforcing the rights and remedies of lender entities in both state and federal court.
Beyond his restructuring practice, Mr. Salichs actively counsels several clients with general business matters, entrepreneurial endeavors and merger and acquisition transactions.

Professional Activities
Mr. Salichs is a fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers. Mr. Salichs is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Puerto Rico Notarial Association (Real Estate Bar). He is a past president of the Puerto Rico Notarial Association.
Mr. Salichs has lectured at the University of Puerto Rico in matters regarding the Uniform Commercial Code and Legal Writing. As an expert in matters pertaining to the Uniform Commercial Code, he has authored many publications in various legal subjects including Puerto Rico’s Lending Law Booklet for the American Bar Association and recently the Puerto Rico’s Chapter of the Laws of Guaranties. He has played a major role in the development and drafting of the UCC laws and regulations of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
Mr. Salichs has offered numerous seminars on Uniform Commercial Code matters and represented Puerto Rico as its principal speaker in Argentina in a seminar regarding lending practices in Latin America and the Caribbean.
